Submissions
If you'd like to submit and/or suggest an anime/manga, please email me at queeranimedatabase@gmail.com. However, there's a few things I won't be allowing into the database. First and foremost, I created this database to host good representation. The series doesn't necessarily have to be of excellent quality - but I'd prefer if the queer characters weren't the butt of the joke in the series that aren't that good.
Once again, don't be afraid to ask questions, even if you think it's a dumb question, I'll still answer it anyway.
That said, here's a few of my ground rules.
- I won't be allowing yaoi or hentai into the database, due to the genres' highly fetishistic nature.
- Anime/manga with tokenized queer characters won't be allowed.
- Non-explicit or non-subtextual representation. The LGBT+ characters and themes actually have to have some textual evidence to support it.
